Default What type of Printer for Decals

What type of printer do I need for decals that will be cast in resin, ink jet or lazer jet or some other type?

    Thanks in advance

You can get decal paper for both types of printers so its up to you I guess.

Both work ok , but I guess most have a color inkjet printer at home ,so probably the cheapest way to go, With the decals I have done they advise a few coats of clear acrylic to seal the ink onto the decal and protect it from the casting have fun cheers ~ John

I was recommended some clear acrylic spray from bunnings called "White something", White king or king white. Just to lazy to go look.
That was from a woman that sells the decal paper and uses it all the time in her inkjet printer.

Decals: laser or inkjet will work, just make sure to get the appropriate type of
material for that printer. Inkjet decals will melt in your laser printer, ruining the
    decal AND the printer.

But for labels you're got more leeway.
I've used ink jets, laser, color laser ... they'll all work. (color laser reds don't hold up
that well, but that's true even without casting) but the best printer (BY FAR!) was the
old Alps printers. Dry ink ribbon printer. Slow as hell, no longer made.. takes 4 passes
to to CMYK .. maybe more if you do metallic colors or white. But the labels look
great. Where else can you get a custom made label with colored foil images cast in
    clear resin?
