    Default Unknown Goldfields Timber Sierra

    Hey there,

Found this timber in a batch of Mulga, I have a thread in the timber section with pics of the Timber and Bark, don't know what it is but its pretty nice, I have also made a Baron Gold (Next Post) if anyone has an idea what the timber is, I would like to know.(and everyone at the woodturners group here) It has a pleasant smell when turned, similar to sandalwood, its hard but not as hard as Mulga, polishes up a treat.

    Thanks for looking.

G'day Harry...if you are going to the Workshop at Wandi on Saturday and have a piece of the timber for me to take away....only a small piece will suffice...I can ask Charlie Broadbent to identify it for you...
    Regards....George
