Thread: Update for Anzac

Here's an update for that Anzac pen I donated to the RSL. Apparently they managed to get $320 when they raffled it with a bottle of sherry as second prize. Woohoo.

On Anzac day I'd spent at least a week trying to make a twin layered pen that I could engrave through the outer layer to expose the contrasting inner layer. This is what I ended up with, it has much wrong with it but it proved that the idea was achievable and I can now improve on the technique and produce something much better. I took this pen down to the RSL about 4pm and donated it as well, they apparently have a raffle every Fri night so were very pleased with this new donation considering the success they had with the first one.
