Default Van diemans land tasmania elm burl

Harvested amid fury from Franklin Square Tasmania around 150 yrs old and hidden away for the last twenty years. First time ever with Elm I will find some more now.

The cunning hexes are central at the tip and offset at the clip, some reason the Kit Maker threw in a spanner under the Spanner a bent metal something so I fitted the clip to clear the bent part. Took me a week to set up the finish, hexes etc ho hum to give rugged look I felt how I wanted to see it.

Fantastic looking result Peter. Glad to see you got that machine working, and put to good use.
The Elm looks great, and has a good story, thanks for showing it to us.

A nice piece of wood there Peter and an interesting kit that I haven't seen before. What is it, and I assume it's sourced from outside of Aus.
