What Do You Think?
#1 - With the deer hide background
#2 - With the grey background
Subject is a Gun Metal Bolt Action with Caragana sanded to 400X, buffed with extra fine steel, 6 coats of MINWAX WBOM Polyurethane and polished with Hut Ultra Gloss.

Grey
Les,
IMHO grey looks better, the pen stands out more due to the contrast. It tends to get lost against the deer skin.
beautiful pen !!

i much prefer the deer hide, gives a much warmer feel, the grey is very plain
has the hide been brain tanned to buckskin???
looks like a very soft pelt from the pickie
all the best
