Thread: Long wood/executive click transmission mod?

Hi all. I stuffed up a beautiful blank whilst making a long wood click. Somehow when squaring the ends I must have shaved a little too much of the tube off. Having put the pen together the nib is still sticking out when the pen is retracted. Anybody know if you can shorten the transmission to give a little extra room? I have done this with some cheap cigar kits before but never a pen like this. Any ideas? Any other solutions? Otherwise it's another pen for around the house.
