    Default York burl

I made this pencil from a piece timber given to me by HazzaB and I forgot to write it down before I turned it I think it was York gum burl I hope Harry can shed some light on it for me.
Any way i was going to give this to a friend but I liked it so much I have decided to keep it Finished with CA/BLO brasso and auto wax

Never saw a burl I didn't like hehe! and that is no exception ,been so sidetracked lately with clear casting that my blank pile is really drying out lol. Good one indeed, and as to photos I know that the pens are always much better in the hand lol.cheers ~John

    Hey Rum Pig,

I don't think that I have any Salmon Gum Burl, I know that I have lots of Red Morrell, and I'm sure that I sent you some of that, the pic below is an Auusie StreamLine (Timberbits) dressed in Red Morrell. I like what you have done with that Pencil and I know that I wouldn't be giving it away, unless I had heaps of other bits in my shed.

Has a darker background to some of the other Burls, very distinguished! Amos
