    Default Zen dyed and stabilized

    got a heap of new blanks last week, couldn't wait to get them on the lathe

    Saturday was the day, i like this Zen kit, looks a lot like the Dayacom Components but a magnetic cap instead of threaded

    Zen Black Ti - Purple Died Box Elder Burl
    Zen Chrome - Rose Died Box Elder Burl
    Zen Black Ti - Saphire Died Buck Eye Burl
    Zen Chrome - Yellow Died Box Elder Burl

    Nice pens I like the blanks

    I made one of these kits but I have not posted it yet. I did not like they way looked when all finished. I think the transition between the body and the nib is to abrupt for such a short nib. Apart from the I think it is a good idea with the magnet.

    Nice

    I got one of those kits in the pen swap and love it... not sure if the guy that works in the same office likes it as much though. I find that when I'm distracted or thinking I tend to play with the cap which clicks nicely into place (the caps bounce and make a lot of noise on the desk if you drop them too)

    thanks for the feedback

    RP - i like the feel of it and the way it writes, i might have to aquire the dyed buckeye for myself

    Amos - i go all the dyed blanks from CSUSA, they have some great colors, i got 1 of each color in the Buckeye, box elder and poplar

    just like the dayacom kit i like the way this shows off alot of the wood in one piece
