Harder than, not for the faint hearted indeed to get from the square was real interesting, must have rellies in Silicon Valley. For all this the timber is rather unique in the way the hardwood is marked and when finished glows like Blackwood and others shooting reflective depth and colour as you turn it to the light. The heartwood has various shades of black with irregular wavy black streaks, lines and curves. These curves may run diagonally or at right angles making a desirable featured timber when finished. The wood is hard, heavy, and strong. The description is medium lustre but for mine it gives brilliant lustre a rarish natural condition in timber.
Regards Peter.

Must have taken some time to make that thing round. I know just how hard that timber is! Lovely finish you managed to get. Nice looking pen.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.
