Squaring timber
Hi,
I know the Wonderfence can be used to edge joint timber. I understand this will give straight sides but not necessarily parallel sides. I have a project with several larger pieces of timber (1300 x 400) that are not square and I don't own a tablesaw (yet). I'm making some drawers so everything needs to be square.
Could I edge joint one of the 1300mm sides then move the fence approx 400 clear of the router bit and feed the timber back between the fence & the bit? In other words, the side I've just straightened would run against the fence and the 'raw' side would be in contact with the bit.
THinking I might need to feed from the opposite side of the table so the router bit is rotating in the right direction relative to the feed. Or is this simply the wrong tool for the job?

I wouldn't! Wrong tool for the job!
You are creating a pinch situation between fence and bit that could cause severe kickback!

Handsaw and plane will do it. You could get a known straight edge from a manufactured board and use a flush trim bit in the router to clean up the edges.
