Default Incra LS 17 or 25 with Wonderfence

I'm getting ready to buy an LS Incra jig. Am wondering which one to buy.
I'll be doing mostly small boxes, jewelry boxes, but may do some larger stuff - furntiture for the house.
Just not sure which one to get.
Will the 17" be enough for what I want?
Or should I go with the 25"?
    Room is an issue but:
If I go with the 25" I was thinking of making the router table the regular size and adding a hinged end on it to mount the 25". This way when I store it away, I would just fold down the hinge table and let the Incra jig hand alongside the table. Would this work? Or would I be putting my jig in danger or causing alignment problems?
    Thanks!
    Great forum!

Depends. The travel of the fence is the name on the positioner, so the question ins are you ever goig to do longer dovetails than 17" ? or finger joints or whatever ?

As for teh hinge, depends on how you do it. If you want the prefect repeatability of incra the folding table needs to return to the exact same place, and be rigid when fixed.

You won't damage the fence unless you hit it with a hammer. Incra stuff is both tough and well made. I could drag my table saw around the floor with mine. Maybe hanging a 400 lb table from a crane by the fence will bend it....you get the idea. You can always just slide the positioner out of the mount and store it, but remember the base needs to be positioned further away on teh 25 than the 17. Incra have all manuals on their website available for download so you can check sizes.

I have a ts/ls but I roll my combo table to the side and store stuff under the rails so it takes up virtually no more space in practice than the table alone.
