Yes you could do it that way, however you then have to tighten the T bolts from underneath the router table, which is not only awkward but on my router table imposible.

That's why I went for the threaded inserts and I use either all 3 of the holes in the LS base or only 2, depending on how far away I want to mount it (oops sorry shouldn't use that word)

It is a very quick and secure way of mounting the LS Positioner base.

Ah ok, makes sense now. Yes I don't want to be fiddling underneath to tighten the knobs.

    Thanks again.

To be clear then, are you saying that you have imbedded threaded inserts into the table table in line with the 6 holes (three per side) of the mounting plate at 3" centres? Something like nutserts perhaps?

I built my Router Table using most of Big Sheds concept and design with some variations (thanks Fred - great design). I did use the optional positioning points for the Positioner, but as yet have not had occasion to change the position of the Positioner. For what its worth I followed Big Sheds dimensions for placement of the fixing points and used Propel Nuts (available at Carba Tec) which facilitate above table fixing and won't pull out.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers Barry
