Default Incra TS-LS question (for someone who actually owns one!)

Hey guys, just an easy one for who ever may actually own a ts-ls system...

How wide are the rails, and how far do they come off the main table of the saw? In other words, if you measure from the edge of the cast iron table to the outer edge of the fence rail, what would that measurement be?

I am trying to figure out before purchase if my splitter assembly will clear the rails, or I will have to modify it as I am not interested in cutting the fence rails as depicted in the instructions.

    Cheers,
    Ben

    Unhappy Too small.....

    Hi Ben

The gap between the rails and the saw is quite small (about 20 - 30mm). Therefore the riving knife systems that go over the rear of the saw do cause problems.

Incras solution of cutting the back rail works or if your router table can mount on the right, just stop the rails short of the riving knife in the tilted position. you may need to drill and tap an extra hole in the table but it will work. Just remember that if your router table is on the right, you will stand on the right and the router feed direction will be the reverse of the saw. i.e. from the back side of the unit forward.

Call me if you want to talk this over.

    Regards

    Grahame

The smaller the gap, the better the result in this case! I currently have a beisemeyer style fence on my saw at present and the splitter goes over the rear rail of that. Basically I was tryin to asscertain if the splitter in its current form would go over the rail+gap distance as its mount is around 120mm from the rear of the table (its spaced out from the main body of the saw).
