    Default Incra V120 miter bar

I've just purchased an Incra V120 miter guage and find that the thickness of the miter bar is 3.66mm higher than the slot.
Width of 3/4 inch no problem.
Question Do I shave 3.66mm of the miter bar or get the miter channels on my old Hyco saw deepened?
    Any advise would be appreciated.
If all else fails I'll list it on ebay.
    Regards

    Common mitre slot dimensions are 3/4" x 3/8". Sounds like you have a 3/4" x 1/4" slot.
I don't know where you'd get a mitre bar to fit that slot and I don't think shaving the Incra is a good idea. 3/4" x 1/4" may be more common in the States
Possibly replace the incra bar with an accurately cut piece of UHMW if all else fails.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

It would have nice to have the Incra fit the mitre slot but it does seem that you have a non-standard table saw. The manufactures will do anything to save a few cents.

Anyway, +1 for making your own one up from UHMW or quarter sawn oak.

Even the cool MicroJig ZeroPlay requires 3/8" depth.

If you could get your slot machined out then the Incra will work very well but this could be costly.

    Soz about this.

Also make sure that there is enough metal on the table before getting anything machined. There's probably a reason the slot isn't as deep as expected, and you don't want to maching right through the thing or even get close as that will weaken the whole table.
