    Default incra woes

Hi all i posted a thread in the router forum

But as i said there i have and LS jig and wonder fence and think there both great but i am having problems getting my head around it all its not the jigs problem but mine

So my thinking is if there are other people out there having problems like me (mainle cutting dovetials ext im a metric guy thats one of the problems

A get together in the melbourne area to nut some of the teathing problems out would be great more heads are better than one
so if your stuck like me and would be interested let me know
maybe we could even form a little incra jig club of sorts(mens shed idea)

Might be time we dusted that idea off - we've said it enough times!

My shed might actually be in a usable state (so long as the crowd isn't too large!) (SE Melbourne)

Added bonus - Grahame (Professional Woodworkers Supplies) lives about 15 minutes away.... he might be interested in coming along too.

Thinking of September, dodging the Grand Final, Father's Day, Triton Club....
October is a long way away, and is the Melbourne Wood Show anyway.

Looks like 13 September might be a possibility (yet to get the date approved however)

Can we have a show of interest? At this stage, I think we'd call it for existing owners only - not to be exclusive, but I think we want to break the back of just how to get the best out of the system before opening it up to showcase it to prospective owners etc.

Plus, I haven't held any event at my shed before, so want to see how the logistics would work out (without upsetting the neighbours etc (none of whom are Incra owners fwiw!!))

I have managed to make a reasonable dovetail in the past on it, but haven't had a chance to take another crack at it, so I'd still be an Incra dovetail virgin. If the first get together is successful, would consider doing it again - perhaps tackling a double dovetail.....

    Stuart

We would happily support such a get together, it could be the start of a Melbourne Incra Users Group???

If the numbers got to be too many i'm sure we could arrange an alternate venue.

We will do what is necessary to assist.

    Regards

    Grahame

Thanks Grahame - haven't had a chance to talk to you about it!!! Oh well - sorry about the roundabout way you've heard! It is, as you guessed a bit of a push towards the M.I.U.G concept.

Jim - bugger - you are absolutely right - there is no way it can be that weekend! Seriously. (And I'm not admitting which reason is the no go, that way the petrol heads can think I'm committed, and so can the wood turners )

    27 September?
