If you visit the incra site it has all the users manuals available for download. You will see that you need 27 3/4" from bit to the near edge of the base unit. The base unit is 9". So your total offset from bit to edge of table might be 36 3/4". However incra only recommend you use 4 of the 6 bolt positions so if you don't object to your base unit overhanging you can reduce that by about 4". The gap in front of the bit is usually 12-18". If your using an insert they are usually about 9" wide so there is 4 1/2" there plus you probably want space to install a miter slot. Also be aware that the incra router fence is 27" long so unless your happy overhanging the fence your table should be that wide.

thanks damian, always looking at the incra site but must have been too busy looking and day dreaming to see the table setup. Your instructions make it clear.

Top sizes
Our Type C Table Top (1100 long) works fine with the LS17, therefore for a 8" or 200mm longer positioner bar a 1300mm table would be ideal.
The need for a 25" unit should be examined, very rarely, if ever is the full range ever needed.

Got a 32mm thick piece of kitchen bench top. Laminated both sides, 1700x700. Should do the trick.
