    Default Portability?

A quick question, if you own an Incra fence with all the bells and whistles, is it possible to work a set up so that it could be easily swapped between a table saw and a router table?

Yes. You have several options, and it depends on which system you own.

Mine attaches via 4 or 6 bolts through the top of the table. If you had that you'd have to set your zero point and parrallel to the blade each time you moved it to the saw. With a router it's less of a problem because for different operations you might want zero at the inner or outer edge of the bit. Obviously square doesn't matter. Moving isn't seconds, but it would be minutes. You can set up any of the systems on a board which you then clamp to the table with F clamps or whatever if that's your preference.

Personally if I were going that way I'd get an ultralite for the router table and a TS fence for the saw, unless you needed more than 12" on the router.

Really unless you already have a seperate saw and router table I'd set up the incra system with the rails and router table mounted off the saw. It saves space and takes second to switch. There is virtually no downside. I should have bought a TS/LS super system instead of the LS25 super I've got. Yeah it was a lot dearer but I would have an easier life now.

Thanks for replies, trying to justify the $$ required by exploring maximum usage.

Your welcome to have a look at mine, but it's not fully set up yet. They are wonderful to use and top quality.

Ultras come up regularly second hand on ebay in the usa.
