Default Superbunny does it again TSLS to Triton

Some say no, some say you will never do it, some say I don't know, but superbunny say yes I can and I will do it. I have some pictures of my TSLS attached to my Triton 2000 and it works really well, yes I said really well. Some say it's not accurate and some say the Triton is not a real table saw, I say BS and have 20 years experience to say different. Look at my profile and check out my albums to see what I do on a Triton with little effort.

I had to put in two spacers I made from Aluminium as the Triton is much wider than the standard TS. As you can see the saw gauge shows the reading for both sides of the blade and yes they are zeros and it was not hard to do. I used it all weekend and no burning of the wood or any other problems. It makes the Triton a Super Triton now with the accuracy I think it was always capable of. If you still don't belive it's true your welcome to come around when I'm home and look see for your self.

    Thumbs up

    Top job SB!!

I happened to be one of the unfortunate poor buggers who had a very innacurate Triton. Got rid of it and bought a jet TS>

I have learned from experience over the years that one should never say never. Nice work SB and proves the Triton to still be a worthy competitor in the hands of the right person

Good work bunny. Just keep adding things to it. I think you are moving forward (slowly). Give yourselft time and one day you will be ready to get a real table saw.

    Good one SB.
A Triton WS is like woman or a guitar the results depend on the player.

That's why you should always pick your woman wisely or it it will give you endless grief and cost you a lot of money.

Yes, I plan to get a Jet TS when I move but for now it's the Triton. I purchased the TSLS 6 months ago and always planed to to buy the Jet TS when I move house and build a real shed but in the mean time the Triton will do fine for just now. When I sell the Triton the TSLS is coming off and the Triton one is going back on.

And now some proof of the accuracy of the Triton with a TSLS. I'm making this AWS box lid at present and had to cut a recess to slide the panel into the rebated frame. I cut the panel recess around the panel and slowly zeroed in to an exact fit for the frame, I did this for two top lid boxes with no problems. Here is the proof but I have not glued it up yet as I have to put in some inlay around the panel. This will involve another recess around the panel to put a nice inlay around the edge.

I don't know, I havn't got one on mine. If it fits between the rails I can't see why not assuming it goes on the left hand side of the Triton. There would be no room for any extra.

    hi superbunny,

firstly, great job, i can see a few guys think you're wasting your time( and money) on the trusty ol triton, well i think otherwise. i'm currently making a new top for my MK3 Triton, with mitre channels, etc so i can use my incra mitre 1000SE. and later hope to add the TSLS when more money becomes available

I have just a few questions,

1 how do you hold the table top in place, as the original can move around a bit?
2 what saw are you using - how do you combat blade runout, or end float in the blade shaft?
3 and also, how do you keep the saw firmly locked in place?

    cheers

    stylegreg
