I have more Blackwood to turn into sawdust. Been turning some into chair leg blanks.
I am learning, slowley.

Pagie, I've been doing similar with saplings of various trees, including soap tree/red ash (pictured). But using smaller sections as you can see. Considering doing the same with black wattle (not blackwood). Are those lengths of yours branches or saplings, and do you have trouble with splitting, due to the centre/pith remaining in the turned leg?

Nice. I love the the Alphitonia legs. I never thought of it as anything other than a nice tree... Look out Red Ash sapplings.
Do you find the bark comes away eventually?...I'll just make the other bits smaller.
