135 x 135 Laminated Pine Posts. Yes, or No?
Hi guys. Has anyone here used 135 x 135 H3 Laminated Pine posts for the purpose of supporting a verandah? Under the verandah there is to be a deck built so the posts will need to be notched to house the fascia beam. The drama is is that l've already installed the H3 posts (in stirrups and above the ground) but am now having doubts as to the durability of the product, especially after they have been notched. I know that there are products available like 'Endseal' which protect the raw timber but l'm just not sure. Am l worrying to much or should l replace them with a hardwood product like merbeau. Thanks heaps.
