Hi all, anyone know of a good website that shows different designs of adjustable roof columns ? I have to build a fly over pitched roof and would normally fabricate the posts myself but I know there a few new adjustable posts on the market now. I would normally use 75 x 75 x 4 RHS with a decktite flashing but I have to go through a tiled roof and Ive seen one product that uses a 25 mm threaded rod with angles welded etc... to take the beam and bolt to the top plate of the house, but it looks a bit flimsy to me. It is an all in one type product that comes with all the hardware and flashing. They are cheap aswell at $ 50 .00 each, only need a small hole through the tile ( instead of replacing the whole tile with a lead flashing that incorporates a decktite), but as stated earlier, they look a bit flimsy compared to a fabricated RHS post. Any suggestions ?
