Can a beam be put on a angle,
I want to remove a load bearing wall ,but to put a beam straight across, the valley gutter timbers are in the way.
So i want to pick some brains as i may be making this harder than need be.
my idea, beam -A sits on internal load bearing wall but cannot go straight across due to window,so angle it,
then connected to this beam -B
hip roof strut goes on -B
fit another beam -C to spead hanging beam and underpurlin load with another strut
the beams are LVL 300/47,,roof terracotta tile,
if this was tin roof i would have no doubts and if im still not happy with this problem,i will pay a builder for a day for advice
as you can see i didnt take technical drawing at school,
also i prefer LVLs easier for hangers, etc and moving.
