In a Separate thread I mention new deck construction. Part of the project was re-roofing ajoining room. Roof [solar span ] is continuous from house through sunroom and over deck. Nice finish so far.

All walls and roof had been removed and even though tarped water went through the floor into Gyprock [1995 dated] ceiling underneath. This has will be completed shortly.

By exposing original floor on the sun-room, by lifting a layer of tiles, the suspended flooring is supported by some cross beams but where original stairs were this is only covered by appropriated ply over timber noggin. This means the suspended floor is L shaped. The original stair deck is concrete and there also seems to be floating brick work as it side support.

The issues I assume are
  1. The opening for where the stairs were.
  2. Are there sufficient beams.
  3. should there be a supporting pole for the floating brick work.
  4. The floor does not move or bounce but lounge and dinging room floors bounce even when the cat runs through them. The later is to be explored after this project and I assume that this is not related.

Can you please make suggestions as to where and what to do now?

Thanks I will try to post pictures.
