G'day all, We’re about to finally do something about our house and I’m after some experienced opinion on which is the best way to progress. The house is an old Victorian workers cottage, four rooms with hall down the middle and a cruddy little lean to attached to the back. The original windows have been replaced with steel framed ones and the place has been covered in fake brick cladding. I guess what I would like to know is who do we speak to first about the house? Who exactly can I get to check if the house under the cladding is even worth salvaging? Should we remove the cladding when demolishing the lean to? How can the house be restumped if it’s sitting close to the ground, possibly on it? Questions turn into questions......If any one can answer these questions it would be a great start, or even just point me to the right forum. Thanks
