I've just added a plan drawing to the hip roof calculator on blocklayer.com that shows all the rafter setout points for walls, ridge and hips.
Roof Framing Calculators - Hip + Gable Roof Framing - Online

If you check the 'Setout Plan' box it will show the plan and running setout points.
Does it make sense the way it's set up?

I'm also thinking about adding the option to cut the top plates on the corners back the thickness of the hip, so the birds-mouth on the hip fits better. This will shift the birds-mouth position in a bit. How many people do this? Is it common?

Thanks for any suggestions.
