Hi all,
Just thought Id start by saying great site and its given me alot to look at and mull over for future projects, but I'm still having trouble finding anybody to answer my questions.

We are thinking of buying an acre or just over and having a Queenslander moved to the site. Weve found 2 we like and now comes the hard bit.
Using the moving company they deal with having the house moved and re-stumped and help with council applications/ planning etc I'm either left with the task of owner/builder or have a contractor do the work. I just need advice on whats best or cheapest, Ive done a few brick house renos in England when I was over there for a bit. Ive done electrical, plumbing and wood work in all of the other projects so not to worried about getting my hands dirty but I know by law I cant do electric or plumbing here. The house will be low set between 600-900mm on steel stumps (not to sure on stumping yet). As no hot water system will be there were having solar system put in along with full house rewire and plumber to put in new pipework for bathroom and kitchen. And then I will finish off fitting out house after they've done their side of things. So my main question is do I still need to do owner/builder when I have plumber and electrician do work or do I need contractor? As from what Ive read it says over $11000 in work and you need owner/builder.

And does anyone know how much it costs to have electric and water run from the boundary 20 meters under ground to the house. As Ive trawled through council sites and found how much to disconnect while demolishing which is $800 for water and $800 for sewage. And found its $695 with Telstra to connect to house from boundary and then $179 for every telephone point after the 1st installed.
Any advice or ideas would be great guys
