joining roof ridges in extension
I am planning an extension to the side of the house and want to know how to tie in the new ridge with the old roof. I need to mark it on the structual drawings to submit it all to council.
A carpenter will be constructing all the frame so I assume they will know how its done, this is purely so it passes council approval.
On another note - will an engineer need to approve the framing or can I follow the requirements in the sticky at the top of this thread and get council to look over it?
The building that we are extending on is the one to the left of the plans measuring 10x5.
