HI guys.

I am looking at removing a stud wall which I think is supporting, to improve the 'beautiful' narrow entrance to our house. Im 99% sure the wall is supporting (from looking in the roof etc). There is also a beam at the end of the wall which looks like it is supported by the wall. The wall im looking at removing is about 4M long, and just a standard timber cladded / plaster stud wall. Basically when it comes to structural stuff I have no idea what im doing and im just looking for some basic advice so I dont get ripped off :|.

We dont really mind if we have to have a beam showing in the roof or we have to have some posts (might do that to seperate the room and the hall anyway). But we would not want to posts where the wall is now (we would probably want them 1m into the dining room).

Anyway I have attached some pictures and if anybody has any suggestions please dont hesitate to let me know .

Thank you
