I'm about to remove a 3m what appears to be load bearing wall and would appreciate a couple of opinions re LVL size.

I've had a look at a couple of span tables but would like to be sure.

The house is a simple 1960s 12 x 6m hard wood framed, chamfer and fibro in Brisbane. It has a 10 degree fibro roof which looks hand-built in hardwood .

There are parallel beams in the roof running the full 12m about 1200mm out from the ridge - I'm assuming this is the load point on the internal walls below?

The 4 x 2s that span the 6m across and just above the ceiling battens are spaced at 900mm centres along the 12m.

Lower garage has concrete stumps supporting 3 - 6 x 3 bearers with 6 x 2 joists across, double joists under all internal walls.

The wall to be removed is the one behind the couch, I'm assuming the wall that runs up the center of the house under the ridge is non load bearing?

Sorry to chop and change beetween imperial and metric...as a picture framer i work in mm, as an owner builder i work in cm and metres, when my dad is helping its all feet and inches!! as it was when the house was built.
