process of wall framing
Hello,
Just something I would like a bit more info on,
1) when installing 7mm ply bracing to a frame, would it be easier to put it on while the frame is still layed out on the ground or after it is raised and fixed into position?
2) the standard way of marking studs for a wall is putting the tape measure along the top and bottom plates and marking 450 centres down, but wouldnt it be a lot quicker.. if you are working with 90x45, to cut a spacer block 360mm, then nail the first stud flush with top/bottom plates, then use the spacer timber to get perfect 450 centres along the wall? you could also to the same for floor joists?
thanks.
