Reducing depth of rafter tail
Saw this today and was wondering if this is the correct method to use when reducing the depth of a rafter tail. So for example say your roof rafter is 200x45 but you only want the overhang to be 90x45. To me it seems like all the weight is now bearing on only half the depth of the rafter.
Any thoughts?
