I knew i would be needing a new roof in the next couple of years but after brisbanes recent monsoon rains and a metre wide stain on my bedroom ceiling i knew it was time to bite the bullet.

Currently getting quotes. It interesting some of the different views of different roofing companies.

I had a mob today try to talk me out of using an anticon blanket and just using batts due to there higher r rating saying that when the moisture drops from under the sheets At night it would just sit on the poly batt till it heated up the next day and evaporate.

I found this argument a bit odd. Shouldn't all roofs have some form of moisture barrier or am i missing something?

Other than that comment they seemed to really know their stuff and they explained it really well and had some great ideas of how to go about it compared to a couple of others that were like yeah mate sounds good we'll just whack this here and bobs your uncle.

Any recommendations on roofers in the brisbane area?
