Truss strap options?
Hello,
Recently bricked my double brick extension and have encountered a bit of an issue. Brickies put straps in the cavity for each truss however where they continued on from the original structure there is no cavity (solid stone). Therefore 3 trusses dont have straps. The bricky suggested i contact the engineer for the appropriate strapping method.
I emailed the engineer and he said i need to talk to the truss manufactures but suggested i run straps down the wall 1.5mtr and 3 dyna bolts to fix. Contacted the truss guys and they said a triple grip either side of truss is adequate.
Was gonna go with the dyna bolt option but since chipping all the plaster off the wall and exposing the stone, im thinking i wanna leave it exposed as i like the look.
The question is, are triple grips good enough or is there another idea i can swing past council/engineers that doesn't involve straps bolted down the wall.

Cheers
Michael
