upper storey bracing considerations
I have read some posts on bracing and one thing I never really considered when I built my deck with trussed roof (post - LVL beam) was bracing of the posts, roof is tied down to post/LVL as per instructions from manufacturer. Upperwalls baltic weatherboards.
I intend building up the top first and is there anything I should consider for bracing etc to continue to lower floor (leave some hanging out and join to it?
I intend to use 2x240x45 F7 on the outer walls (1 will remain and I will double them up) techincally becomming a lintle for the lower room, but the roof is being held up by 300LVLs attached to the house frame and tied into it and the other end a post (single hip roof).
I have used hoop strap and buckles so far and would you consider using speed brace instead?
I am using 90x45 T2 just to keep the same wall width etc.
Are these walls now infill walls, vs "normal walls"
Council will want to inspect I have put on the application infill walls so I want to get the bracing right.
Am I missing anything else?
