Attaching bearers retaining wall
Hi all, my first post.
I'm building a deck that will be attached to a 1m high breeze block retaining wall at opposite end to house. What would be the best way to attach this and what issues would there be with termites (in Brisbane).
Also planning to put a roof over deck down the track, what would be load bearing issues?
Thanks for any help.

gday gerry
can you post a photo of the breeze-block wall? is that a besser block wall laid on edge with the cores facing outward - ie, holes in the wall?
roof will have design issues due in part to imposed loads, but more-so because your posts can support your floor bearers, the handrails, as well as your verandah beams. can you post a photo & some measurements of your overall plan?
