Mobile Home Chasis?
Hey ho all,
Does anyone have any idea or leads as to where I would be able to buy a chasis for a mobile home, ie cabin or granny flat etc. The ones where you can put in axles and a towing bar for manoeuvring onto a truck. It is to go in a caravan park and thus meet the compliance standards.
You can buy the fully built cabbins from Jayco, Windsor (under some other name), but none will sell me just the chasis. Mind you they sell them for around 50 -60K (30'X15'), yet I'd be able to build one out of timber for about 15K.
Anyway any help, ideas etc would be most appreciated.
Cheers, Steve

I reckon any self-respecting trailer manufacturer or welding/engineering establishment would be able to knock one up for you? Give Carac trailers in Dandenong a ring, I have bought custom trailers from them and they are very helpful.

Found someone
Thanks workgoose,
Spent a day on the phone and net, ended up finding another manufacturer, Sun City, who are happy to build one for me at around $500 per metre (4.6m wide (15')).
Cheers, Steve
