    Smile Jack and pack

    Hi, we have purchased a lovely 100 year old home 5 years ago. Of the lounge room we have a big bay area that has sunken in. We are thinking of jacking and packing it ourself. What is your opinion on it and is it a simple task or should be call in the professionals. Our concern is, will the bay come away from the house if not done properly.

    It sounds like the stumps are gone,
    packing won't fix the problem even in the mid-term

    Depends how far gone. I pulled 85mm out of my place in one corner. 10ton jack and fibro packers.
