    Default Spa Shell

I have recently finished building a treated pine shell for my above ground spa. I am looking at cladding it using 12mm tongue & groove pine mainly due to the low cost.
I have two questions.. firstly: I am hesitant to use nails on it as I think it will potentially split it, or stick out like the proverbial. I was considering liquid nails but not sure if it is weather proof or not... Either that or using a pin gun on it. Any thoughts?

Secondly, I have come across on here the type of seal to use this as it will be completely exposed to the weather as well as water from the spa, but cant seem to find it anymore. Suggestions?

    Cheers,
    M.

    Hi There M

The liquid nails will be fine with the weather but standard pine wouldn't be. It would need to be a treated variety or a species that is a little more robust in those conditions.

You could nail by hand plus a bit of adhesive, softer woods shouldn't split too easily.

It's a l;ittle hard wiothout knowing the style but you could line in cement sheet and use some h3 treated decorative mouldings or trims to jazz it up?
