Thin hardwood strip flooring
I have an old radiata pine timber floor, its taken a battering and I am considering ways to update - floating floor, laminate, new strip flooring.
I am after something hardwearing and resealable.
Does anyone have experience/advice about laying thin (10-12mm) hardwood strip flooring over old pine strip flooring.

Yep, did ours a few years back, 12mm ash over pine flooring in one area and chipboard in a new extension of the same room. Very successful we used a two pack PVA glue recommended by Syntec (I think) and secret nailed, enough to hold while glue set. Bought a pack from a timber mill for about one third of Boral prices. The pack was one size fits all, don't even bother asking them to split or reduce a pack, we ended up with about 6 sqm left over which ended up being used in the entry as part of a design feature. After pulling up the old flooring and staples we used a belt sander to knock the high spots off the boards.
We are just about to do the lounge dining so the experience clearly was not off putting.
John.
