Thirsty cypress pine floor
My 16 year old T&G cypress pine floor needs re-oiling. I used a hard oil 16 years ago, when it was installed, can't remember which one. I applied it liberally and it took a few days to dry. I was supposed to go over it with a buffing machine but never got around to it. It has a matt finish.
Now some of the knotts are cracking and there are longitudinal cracks appearing in some of the board ends.
I only want to use a hard oil of some kind, not interested in any 2 pac urathane stuff as I can't stand the smell.
What would be the best product to use as a re-coat?
I was hoping to not to have to re-sand the floor. Given the thirsty appearance of the floor, there isn't much hard oil left on it anyway.
