Blocking off a bore (temporarily)
We have a couple of functioning water bores in our back yard. They go down about 2metres - and appear to be pipes of about 50mm ID. I want to decommission one - but suspect that I may need to use it again in a few years time. I want to leave the pipe there, sticking up out of the ground, but block it off in such a manner that if I want to re-use it I can. Is it just a matter of removing the pump and blocking off the pipe with a suitable pumbing fitting - or is there some magic secret to it.
cheers and thanks
Arron
