I put a flick mixer tap in my new wall in our ensuite, and I was worried initially because I didn't want any compression fittings, but as far as I know it was the only way with the threaded flick mixer.

Anyway, I spoke to some people and they said just use the good pink thread tape and it'll be fine, so, I did and it's been installed for about a month with no leaks (tap turned on, shower head fitting blocked off.)

I thread taped the compression side of the fitting as well as the tapered side.. and now I am worried about the future. (since you should not thread tape compression fittings). the only wany back into the fittings is if I pull the villaboard sheet off again.

QUESTION: Should I pull the wall sheet before I get too much further (waterproofing) and remove the thread tape.. or considering it's been a month with no dramas, trust it in the wall?

Thanks,

Andy
