Is that to buy or installed? 3/4" type B is around $125 a length at the moment from reece, more by the metre.

Actual price I am looking at (not installed). How many metres makes up "a length" at $125?

I managed to get my wifes uncle who is a plumber into providing free labour over the xmas break to install some gas piping for me to the stove and bbq.

Just wanted to know how much roughly i was going to be up for in materials.

If he has a trade account he can probably manage a better cash price, knowing the bloke at the counter and mentioning it's a love job makes a massive difference.

Depending where he gets his supplies, from experience I've found Reece to be the least flexible in love job prices (here in the ACT anyway).

Black pipe is the standard for gas. Frequently you can drop down to a flex copper pipe to make your connection. Cost is very much dependent on the going rate for l;abor in your area. I'd ball park it at $300 but wonder why the run is so long. Most homes aren't more than 30 to 40 feet at the max. Where are you running this line.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

No one uses copper anymore, its all plastic..yellow plastic.

I do not know much about it but just had a new gas main installed to the house. It was a 55metre run in 25mm copper cost was $1600 including labour
