We had central heating installed last year, with a view to adding on a refrigerated air con unit (they need to use larger diameter ducting with a better insulation rating).

The heating, including a programmable timer, installation, larger ducting, cost us about $4100 (for a Brivis unit).

The add on air conditioning is going to set us back another $6200.

Our setup is about 120sq m, single zone, weatherboard, 8 outlets. We chose Brivis because they're the only ones who make both the heating and air con units, so there won't be any buck passing issues if we need to make a warranty claim.

    Hope that helps a bit.
    Cheers,
    Anthony
