G'day all,
over the last few years the hot water service has developed a bit of a 'lean', to the point that I'm worried that the pipes are going to sustain some damage. It appears that the concrete pad that the tank is sitting on has had some of its support material washed away. The bottom of the tank is about 60mm from the wall and the top is about 120mm. The top of the tank is almost level, so it doesn't appear to be leaning down hill, just out from the house.

I've obtained a quote to replace the HWS with either a solar evacuated tube or a heat pump type, so this tank will be replaced, possibly in the not too distant future.

My question, is there an easy (relatively) way to re-pack underneath the concrete pad with the tank in-situ, or should I wait until the plumber removes the old tank and then attack?
If it is the second option, what would be the best way to go about it?
I thought about leaving it to the plumber, but that could add $$$ and time to the job. If it's relatively easy, I could probably do it while he's attending to other parts of the install.
Thanks in advance,
Steve.
