I've just had a 1kw grid-connect system installed and I'm waiting on the electrical inspection before turning it on. However, as the initial post-installation testing was being done I noticed huge radio frequency interference. This affected AM and FM, and as I later found out, the neighbour's TV. We are some distance from the AM transmitter, say 70km, but reception was real bad, on both mains and battery receivers, even 20 metres from the inverter.

Does anyone have a similar problem, or is anyone using a similar system in a remote-ish area without the RFI problem? I suspect either a faulty inverter or maybe a problem with the installation, as the system is simply unusable as it is. I'm still working with the supplier but can't make much progress until the thing can be turned on again after inspection. I know that inverters are inherently noisy but this is ridiculous!
