    G'day Billy

you are probably better off buying the complete ceramic disc tapware ( unfortunately expensive, but what isnt these days ), 1/4 or 1/2 turn tapware, especially with arthritis. lever handles to fit older jumper valve tap ware is very hard or impossible and not very appealing, as you end up with the levers pointing in all odd directions.

There is a new product on the market that allows you to re-seat the standard seats with a curve to easily accept the 'dome' washer which is a soft turn washer ideal for people with arthritis, the elderly, etc.
The dome washer is a great washer when the seat has been ground correctly, most people shy away from them because they grind the seats in the normal fashion which leaves a sharp edge on the seat and ends up tearing the dome washer.
With lever type handles as davo said you would have to go with the ceramic disc 1/4 or 1/2 turn which can get expensive but it is a matter of personal preferance.
If you can find someone down there with this little bit of gear I would suggest you try it before spending your hard earned on changing tapware.
Ive been using one of these tool s as a tester for near three years and havent had a complaint. Two years ago we re-washered a major nursing home(eleven days worth of work) in the sutherland shire using this tool with the dome washers and havent had to change them yet.
