Hi All,

I'm planning some work for the upstairs rooms, wall insulation, new gyprock walls and ceilings. I did a quick MOT for pricings and also worked out the weights of the different sheets to be used. Whats worrying me is the plaster alone is ~1250kg plus ~60sqm of insulation.

The house is a 60's era double brick on limestone foundation with a late 70's second story added. Second story in wood veneer? with a clay tile roof. My concern is I'll be adding easy 1500kg+ to the second story, do I need to get some structural assesment of this or will the 'house' handle the weight?

Cheers.
