    Default 1/2 burl / 1/2 myrtle hf

    Hi guys,
    Finally got some shed time today and finished
    the 1/2 and 1/2 piece I showed last month
    turned it in to a hollow form with finial
    soaked with DO, then EEE and glow finish
    any c&c welcome

    Looking good smiife, is that just melamine that you photograph your work on? I see the difference between yours and my crap photos!

    Thanks for your thoughts, this finial was the third attempt
    and was about as thin as I could get it, I need to practice
    more just on doing the finials I think

    Thanks for your comments too!
    I have two boards about 600mm x 600mm
    each and painted them white, I also had one with
    some blue cardboard from one of those cheap
    2 dollar shops, but it got a bit scrappie/dirty
    I think I need to repaint them too!
