1st try at Ebony
Hi all, had to try and make something out of a piece of ebony that one of the stall holders at the wood show gave me. It measured 4” x¾”. I cut it in half and glued it together. It only exploded on me once. That ebony can sure take a shine.

An interesting form from such a small piece of timber - well done.
It's always interesting to see someone-else's take on a problem. I wonder how many of us would have cut in half and solved it you're way - or what other forms would have been shaped.
Personally I'd probably have formed a fine finial type shape and attached it to something - what about everyone else?Dragonfly
No-one suspects the dragonfly!
